HOW TO ROCK A BRACELET

(A man’s guide to wearing a bracelet when and how to wear men’s bracelets.

Too much jewellery for men- The further away you go from wedding rings, the more iffy guys start to feel about accessories.

When the female bracelet market outweighs the men’s, it is easy to get into the mindset that bracelets are pretty much just a feminine thing and leave it at that.

But like any jewellery, bracelets can be a part of a stylish man’s wardrobe

Bracelets and Men’s Style- The role of a well chosen bracelet isn’t that different from the role of any piece of jewellery. What form the bracelet takes will depend on the outfits you like to wear. If you are in a suit and tie on the regular, something metallic and upscale looking is a natural fit. If your wardrobe tends more towards wrap pants and tropical shirts, you’re probably going to do better in leather.

In other words, however, notice that the role of the bracelet is the same :it’s emphasizing your over all look. It functions as a sort of social “proof” that you mean to look the way you do.

How to Wear and Display a Bracelet

Part of the problem with bracelets on men is that most classic men’s wear doesn’t leave room for it. That makes bracelets mostly a summer phenomenon when short sleeves leaves room to show them off.

Here are basic guidelines on how to wear a bracelet without looking awkward.

Treat bracelets like wristwatches- They stay against the skin, under any sleeves long enough to cover them.

Stack up as many thin coed bracelets an the same wrist as you like ,but don’t go for multiples of thick, metal bracelets.

Similarly a wristwatch looks okay with thin cord bracelets, but not with a thick metal one.

Types of Bracelets For Men

Here are dome of the major styles that are still in use today

Broad Metal Bands- This is probably the most upscale style of bracelet for men,and its the kind you’re most likely to see paired with suits and ties.

Leather Cuffs- Solid or braided, the black cuff is a classic punk style. It goes great with black jeans and T-shirt and looks kind of weird wit anything.

I D bracelets – These were issued to soldiers in WW11 and became a civilian style in the 1950s. In the same basic style: a thin metal chain with a rectangular plate centered on the top of the of the wrist is like a resin or takes the face of a watch and looks pretty much good on shirts and jean.
